Fourth Day Family,

Sharp and Convinced

Romans 4:20–25
20 No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, 21 fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.22 That is why his faith was “counted to him as righteousness.”
This is Paul describing Abraham’s faith.  As I reflect on these past weekends, I am even more convinced of God’s faithful plan for us and of His mighty hand in accomplishing it. Abraham is known as one who got up early to go and do hard things for God, and He took a sharp knife to do it. May we too be so eager to obey….. being sharp and ready to serve.  Convinced that He really is working ALL THINGS for our good.   We know Abraham was obedient even to sacrifice his son Issac, yet God would end up providing the sacrifice. We have witnessed elements of this story lately as we have walked in faith up a new hill for the Lord. It sure seemed as if we were obedient and that God once again provided the offering needed to allow us to get close to Him. I think we all grew a new measure of faith, watching God work His special ways out.  All I can say is Hallelujah, He is always going before us, making a way for us to be with Him. Be sharp and convinced of it……He once again demonstrated His great love for us.

Reminder to spend time in prayer as Pentecost Sunday approaches.  So many in our community need prayer for healing and strength, as do our new brothers and sisters in Christ’s family.
