Dear Family,
As we close out the year, I find myself reflecting on and hanging onto God’s faithfulness. God has shown Himself in His transformative weekends and through your faithful sacrifices to support them. He has walked with us in our joys and seasons of great difficulty. In His goodness and mercy, He showed us again “But God.” How beautifully we were reminded of this by the testimonies of the ladies of the Women’s 93rd.
Regardless of the season we are in, with Christ we have hope. With Christmas approaching, many will observe the season of Advent (“coming” or “arrival”). Advent is an expectant waiting, hopeful anticipation, and joyful preparation for the arrival of Christ. As believers, we can personally reflect with glad hearts on The Gift, Immanuel (God with us). We can also anticipate His second coming while staying focused on His arrival into the hearts of the lost—those God has placed in our lives as friends, so that we may lead them to Christ. In this season of advent may we be reminded of the hope, peace, love, and joy found in Christ.
Isaiah 9:6-7 6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.
Please note (details below) that our December Ultreya is this Saturday. Please be encouraged to attend. Especially if you attended your weekend this year or perhaps you haven’t attended an Ultreya in some time. You have been missed.
