The Western Kentucky Ecumenical Cursillo is open to all adults, men and women, single and married, laity and clergy. Christians of any denomination are warmly welcomed.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

CURSILLO IS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF CHRISTIAN LEADERS WHO:
• Are members of a local church.
• Have the desire to strengthen their spiritual lives.
• May have unanswered questions about their faith.
• Understand that being a Christian involves responsibility.
• Are willing to dedicate their everyday lives to God in an ongoing manner.

WHY ATTEND A CURSILLO?

PEOPLE MAKE A CURSILLO FOR A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT REASONS:
• To learn how to communicate the Good News that God, in Jesus Christ, loves us through friendships.
• To enrich his/her daily spiritual life.
• To learn more about the mission of the Church and how he/she can contribute as a layperson.
• To enable themselves to extend their spiritual practices and beliefs and apply them daily.
• To learn not about 'preaching' the Good News, but about becoming the Good News—witnessing naturally in our daily lives.
• To forge friendships with others who have the same goal of improving the way you live as a Christian in every aspect of your life.
• To enable yourself to develop into a strong leader within your own church.

Cursillo weekends begin on Thursday evening and conclude late Sunday afternoon.

A typical Cursillo weekend brings together approximately 60 participants, comprising ‘candidates’ (guests) and the ‘team.’ The candidates come from diverse backgrounds—some eager for enrichment, others curious, and a few apprehensive. The weekend is led by laypeople and clergy who have previously attended a Cursillo weekend. They guide participants through a series of talks, discussions, meals, fellowship, music, and worship, aiming to address the unique needs of each individual throughout the weekend.

Your sponsor will bring you to Camp Clark on Thursday. Please arrive at 7:00 pm for check-in.
